Every Child Deserves a Strong Start
For many children, back-to-school shopping is an exciting family tradition. But for children with incarcerated fathers and families facing financial hardship, the cost of school supplies can be an overwhelming burden.

This August, Ready, Willing & Working will provide backpacks filled with essential school supplies to families attending Children’s Day at the federal prison in Cumberland, Maryland, as well as local Washington, DC families connected to the Capitol Hill BID “Men and Women in Blue”.
With the start of school just around the corner, we are in need of new backpacks, notebooks, crayons, markers, pencils, folders, glue sticks, scissors, hand sanitizer, and other classroom essentials to ensure every child starts the school year with confidence.
You can make a difference today.
Purchase supplies directly through the Amazon Wish List for easy delivery, or make a monetary gift designated for the Back-to-School Program. Every donation helps ease the financial burden on families and reminds children that their community believes in their future.
Together, we can help children head back to school prepared, confident, and supported, while giving incarcerated fathers the opportunity to remain involved in one of the most important moments of their child’s year.
