Hill O Ween at Eastern Market

Hilloween is a community event that brings loads of extra-spooky, screech-inducing fun to families and kids of all ages. It’s a chance for kids of all ages to show their creativity, dress up , play, and make some of the best memories!
There will be loads of trick or treating, faceprinting/glitter tattoos, a 360 Photo Booth, pumpkin decorating, games, prizes, and more.
Halloween Yappy Hour at Boxcar Tavern
Saturday, October 30th from 4:00 PM - 6:00 PM.
Boxcar Tavern will be doing a "Spooky Yappy Hour" with a doggy costume contest and spooky drink specials!
DM a picture of your pooch in their costume to @Boxcartarven on Instagram for enter the contest for a chance to win!
Prizes include a special Halloween dog gift basket and a $25 Boxcar gift card.

The DC Dentist is your official Candy Buy Back Office! Come the end of the month when you are deluged with too much Halloween candy you can drop off any unopened left overs.
They will be shipping the candy along with letters and pictures to Operation Gratitude who sends care packages to troops overseas.
Drop off any donations at 509 11th St SE.
A Literary Pumpkin Walk

The Pumpkin Walk is returning to Capitol Hill!
Enjoy Capitol Hill Community Foundation Halloween tradition with pumpkins, scarecrows, or full-on front yard scene inspired by your choice of book or literary character. You can also vote for your favorite design. The winning household will get to designate $1,000 towards a Capitol Hill public school of their choosing!
Howl to the Chief Howl-O-Ween Costume Contest
Saturday, October 30 1:30 PM
Head over to Lincoln Park for the Howl-o-ween Doggy Costume Contest!
Registration begins at 1:30 PM in the park, or earlier online.
The parade is also a contest, with prizes for best group; best individual; Funniest; Best Homemade and a new category this year, Best Trick For Treat Contest.
There will also be a Parade of Adoptable Dogs and Howl to the Chief gift bags will be distributed while supplies last.
