Hill-O-Ween at Eastern Market

Friday, October 28 from 5:30 PM - 7:30 PM

Hill-O-Ween is a community event that brings loads of extra-spooky, screech-inducing fun to families and kids of all ages. It’s a chance for kids of all ages to show their creativity, dress up , play, and make some of the best memories!

There will be loads of trick or treating, a spooky dance party with a live DJ, live pumpkin decorating, games, prizes, and more.

Taste of Horror Event & Costume Contest at Labyrinth Games

October 29 & October 30.

Labyrinth Games & Puzzles is hosting their annual Halloween celebration! 

There will be hosting bone-chilling roleplaying games (RPGs) and board games during the spooky Taste of Horror event on October 30

Feeling like you want to get into the spirit of Halloween that weekend? Stop by to participate in the costume contest, happening October 29 and 30. The best costume among adult entrants and the kid entrants will each win a $50 gift card. Voting will happen on Halloween on Labyrinth social media accounts.

The Hill is Home Spooky Hill Halloween Map

The Hill is Home is putting together their 3rd annual Spooky Hill Halloween map

Tell them where you'll be decorating and make sure you send a few descriptive words about your décor and where people can find it. Submit here

You can also let them know if you're distributing special treats (think allergy-sensitive, healthy, for dogs, candy chutes).

CHCF Annual Pumpkin Literary Walk

October 26 through October 31.

The Capitol Hill Community Foundation annual Literary Pumpkin Walk is back! Pick a favorite book or literary character and decorate a pumpkin, scarecrow, or full-on front yard scene & register by October 21.

Neighbors can follow the map of the Pumpkin Walk and tour the creations & vote for the best “literary” decoration in the neighborhood during the week before Halloween. The winning design selects a Capitol Hill public school to receive a $1,000 grant.

Spooky Saturdays at As You Are Bar

As You Are Bar is calling all girls, gays and ghouls! Its spooky season!

The AYA team is gearing up for a month of tricks and treats this October. Join them EVERY Saturday for a themed party on the dance floor with a scarily talented set of DJs. Costumes (lowkey) required!

Hill Center Halloween Sugar Cookie Decorating

Saturday, October 22 from 11 AM - 1 PM

Come decorate stunning Halloween sugar cookies at the Hill Center! Join the class to learn the basics of royal icing, tips to make decorating easier, and various techniques to elevate your designs.

Everything you need is provided including the pumpkin flavored cookies, cream cheese royal icing, decorating tools, and a box to take home your creations. Don’t worry about bringing your own boos, beer and wine are included in your ticket!

Halloween at Honey Made

Stop by Honey Made on Saturday and bring the kids!

They will have an arts and crafts table for the little ones (and a #SipnShop for grown ups).

The arts and crafts are from 11 am - 2 pm and the Sip n’ Shop is all day (or until the wine runs out).
