Submit Digital Designs to be Featured on Capitol Hill Storefronts
Capitol Hill Business Improvement District is hosting an open call to local artists to submit photographs or digital designs of any medium to be displayed on windows of currently vacant ground floor retail spaces in Capitol Hill. In efforts to beautify and enhance the storefronts, the art installations bring color and vibrancy to the neighborhood for buildings in transition.
The pilot project was installed mid-June at 419 8th Street SE, Washington D.C. featuring a photograph taken by Sam Kittner.
Artists interested in submitting can do so by filling out this form and uploading the proposed design. Artwork should reflect the culture, spirit, and history of Capitol Hill Neighborhood but does not need to be solely produced for this purpose. This is an open call and not a contest, therefore, there is no deadline or limit to submissions. Chosen artists will receive a stipend and appropriate credit (including name and desired social media tags) on the final installation.
