7th Annual Community Menorah Lighting

Happy Hanukkah from Capitol Hill!

The 7th Annual Community Menorah Lighting went virtual in 2020!

Keeping everyone's health and safety in mind during the unprecedented time, Capitol Hill BID and Hill Havurah captured the Menorah Lighting on video without an audience for the community to enjoy online.

The public is encouraged come view the Menorah and other holiday decorations in the newly renovated Parcel One of Eastern Market Metro Plaza (Pennsylvania Ave SE and 8th St SE) safely and socially distanced on their own time.

Thank you to Rabbi Hannah from Hill Havurah, Council member Elissa Silverman, and Bruce Pascal for carrying on this tradition in honor of past BID Board Chairman Paul Pascal.

Follow along with the song and blessing

Al HaNisim:

For the miracles and for the wonders and for the mighty deeds and for the salvations and for the victories that you wrought for our ancestors in their days and in this day!
