Newman Gallery & Custom Frames was established on November 17, 1984. At that time, we were strictly a custom framing business. Our commitment to high quality design and preservation framing has always been a top priority. Whether framing a single photograph or print for a one-time customer, or a 40 frame exhibit of priceless artifacts for the Smithsonian Institution, our quality and attention to detail are consistent. We appreciate personal value as being at least as important as monetary value. Educating our customers in the proper use of conservation materials and techniques is the best way we know to help assure the long term protection and enjoyment of their valuable possessions.

Showcasing the work of local and international talent has proven to be an exciting addition. With artists ranging from local talent, right here on Capitol Hill, to international artists from as far as Bulgaria, and styles and media ranging from limited edition prints to original drawings and paintings to hand woven fabrics to three-dimensional works in clay, there is always something new and exciting to experience.
