Details
Rogê (pronounced haw-zheh) was a Samba idol in the clubs of Rio before relocating to Los Angeles in 2019. He is a master of high voltage Samba-Funk, a contemporary brew of samba, soul, reggae and the slick, orchestrated polish of Motown. He is considered one of the most talented artists of his generation. He has released 7 solo albums and 2 collaborations – with Samba legend Arlindo Cruz, and with Seu Jorge. Rogê has just released the lavishly produced “CURYMAN,” his debut album in the United States. He has supported Altin Gün, The Budos Band, and the fabled Gipsy Kings, and collaborated with Jack Johnson, Seu Jorge, and Arthur Verocai. You can learn more about Rogê in this fabulous Los Angeles Times feature, Rogê, samba idol in Rio, starts all over again in LA and by visiting his website: www.rogebrasil.com.br
