Celebrate the 50th anniversary of the American Folklife Center with activities and displays related to music, food, geography, and storytelling. Explore the new exhibition “Alive in Many Hands: 50 Years of the American Folklife Center," and while you're at the Library, The Source, Thomas Jefferson's library, and "The Declaration's Promise" will also be open for visitation.
The program will be held on the mezzanine level of the Library’s Jefferson Building from 10:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. on September 22, 2026. The event is free, but tickets are required for the Jefferson Building. Register for free tickets.
